Specialist programs
Denmark Senior High School offers two specialist programs for students with a particular talent or keen interest — the ASP Basketball Program and the IMSS Instrumental Music program.

ASP
Specialist basketball program
Years 7–10 · ~24 positions
A specialised course of study for students who show a particular talent and/or keen interest in Basketball. Covers playing, refereeing, coaching and administration. Students do not miss any core subjects during Basketball Extension times.

- →Trial opportunities for WA Country Basketball Program state teams
- →Sessions at Denmark Recreation Centre and School Gymnasium
- →Approximately 24 positions — Years 7, 8, 9 & 10
IMSS
Instrumental music program
Woodwind · Brass · Percussion · Voice · Guitar
DSHS has had a long and strong commitment to music since the 1960s. Our IMSS program is designed to help keep this traditional instrumental stream alive whilst embracing a contemporary approach to fulfil the needs of a broad range of interests.
