Connecting students to industry
Denmark SHS works in partnership with TAFE colleges, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and local industry partners to deliver high-quality VET programs. These partnerships ensure that the qualifications our students earn are genuinely industry-relevant and respected by employers.
Partnerships allow us to access specialist facilities, industry trainers and real workplace environments that go beyond what a school can provide alone. Students benefit from connections to employers and industry networks that often lead directly to employment or apprenticeship opportunities after school.
Partner Types
Who we work with
TAFE Colleges
Denmark SHS partners with TAFE WA to enable students to access TAFE-delivered programs. Dual enrolment arrangements allow students to complete TAFE units while still at school, receiving credit towards both their WACE and a TAFE qualification.
TAFE programs are delivered by qualified trade and industry trainers at TAFE campuses or through school-based delivery.
Registered Training Organisations
Partnerships with nationally registered RTOs allow Denmark SHS to offer a wider range of certificate programs. RTOs provide the registration and compliance framework that ensures our students' qualifications are nationally recognised.
School-based delivery is assessed by RTO-qualified trainers and assessors to national training package standards.
Industry Partners
Local businesses and employers in the Great Southern region partner with DSHS to provide work placement, mentoring and real-world training environments. Industry partners play a crucial role in keeping our programs current and connecting students to employment.
Industry partners may provide host workplace arrangements, guest presentations, and pathway opportunities for completing students.
