The Western Australian Curriculum
Denmark Senior High School delivers the Western Australian Curriculum across seven learning areas from Years 7 to 10. In the senior school (Years 11 and 12), students choose from ATAR, General, and VET pathways to achieve the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
Our broad curriculum is designed to cater for a wide range of student abilities and interests, ensuring every student can find a pathway that prepares them for further education, training, or employment.
Years 7–10
Learning Areas
Our lower school curriculum covers seven key learning areas aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum framework.
Years 11–12
Senior School Pathways
Students select from two main pathways to achieve the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE).
University Pathway
ATAR Suite
The Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) pathway is designed for students aiming to enter university. Students study a minimum of four ATAR courses and sit external examinations at the end of Year 12.

Training & Employment
General & VET Suite
The General and Vocational Education and Training (VET) pathway prepares students for direct workforce entry, apprenticeships, or further training at TAFE. Students gain practical skills and nationally recognised qualifications.
