About the Program
Preparing Young Drivers for WA Roads
Keys for Life is a Western Australian Department of Education road safety initiative delivered at Denmark SHS as part of the Health and Physical Education program. The program provides students with essential knowledge and attitudes about road safety before they become drivers.
Students explore topics including the graduated licensing system, hazard perception, peer passenger safety, and the impact of distractions, fatigue and speed. The program draws on real WA crash data to make road safety relevant and meaningful to young people.
