Denmark Senior High School is incredibly proud to celebrate the extraordinary athletic achievements of Year 10 student Ginger, whose dedication, talent, and hard work have propelled her to the top of junior athletics across regional, state, national, and international stages.

Ginger's phenomenal season highlights a level of commitment and sporting excellence that is truly inspiring to our entire school community.

Dominating Regional and State Tracks

Ginger's incredible run began at the regional level, where she shattered four WA Country Records in the 400m, 800m, 1500m, and 300m Hurdles. She then carried this momentum to the state level, claiming three WA State Junior Championship titles in the Under-17 400m, 400m Hurdles, and 800m events.

National Triumph and Green and Gold Debut

Taking her talents to the national stage, Ginger's hard work yielded stunning results. In December 2025, she claimed her first national title at the Australian All Schools Championships in the U16 800m. She followed this up in April 2026 at the Australian Championships, capturing two more national titles in the U17 400m and U18 400m Hurdles, alongside a brilliant silver medal in the U18 4x400m relay.

Among these phenomenal results, Ginger highlights her dual national titles at the Australian Championships and pulling on the green and gold for the very first time as her proudest milestones so far.

Stepping Onto the International Stage

Ginger's remarkable year also marked her debut in international competition, representing Australia at the Oceania Athletics Championships. Showing incredible grit, she competed up an age group in the U18 400m Hurdles and proudly returned home with a silver medal.

Looking to the Future

Not one to rest on her laurels, Ginger is already looking ahead to her next goals. With her sights set on the future, she hopes to earn selection for the 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games and the 2028 World Junior Athletics Championships teams.

The entire Denmark Senior High School community congratulates Ginger on her sensational achievements and wishes her the very best as she continues her athletic journey!
